The G-Star Raw brand was initially launched in 1989 within the Dutch capital of scotland- Amsterdam. They were originally called Gap Star but changed their name right after launch because they believed it a more international feel. In 1996 G-Star launched their Raw denim concept to critical acclaim. The idea behind the queue was simple yet ground breaking, they died the denim cotton as normal throughout the manufacturing process, but then sold the jeans as they somewhat than treating them preserving agents. This resulted in upon washing the jeans consumers would start to see the colour change along with the jeans shrink, they came up with the name Raw as the jeans were essentially raw untreated products.
The brand is revolutionary with its jeans collection and uses stitching, extra pockets and buttons to provide each style a really unique look, all kinds of other denim brands have experimented with copy their styles but have never come near the originality and concentrate of G-Star jeans.
